Rules:
1) Be respectful of all members and staff on the board. This means everyone has a right to their opinion whether you agree with it or not.
Consequences:
If you do it repeatedly, or just one major time, you can/will be banned and/or be given a warning.
2) No bashing of members, staff or celebrities will be tolerated. There is a fine line between criticism and bashing, be careful not to cross it.
Consequences:
If you do it repeatedly, or just one major time, you can/will be banned and/or be given a warning.
3) No SPAMMING allowed. SPAM is a post that does not contribute to the conversation such as one or two words, smilies only, or just posting to say "I agree with you" and nothing else. Post WHY you agree and add to it if possible. Off topic posts are also considered SPAM.
Consequences:
A warning if you continue to do it. This rule is kind of flexible, and it will be up to the sole discretion of the staff to decide what is spam
4) No kewl talk or dIsOrTeD TeXt please. It hard to read for everyone but especially those who's first language is not English.
Consequences:
Just a verbal warning from staff
5) Signatures should not be more then 500 pixels long or 150 pixels high. You may have a banner that is 500x150. Only 5 smilies per sig please.
Consequences:
The siggy will be removed, and a warning may be put up if you ignore us and put your siggy back again
6) Be considerate of others and do not spoil episodes.
67a)We have a new system here at Lost without A Map: a spoiler system. When you start a topic that contains spoilers, please follow these rules:
When you start a new thread, underneath the place where you enter the subject, you should see a drop down box. If your thread contains no spoilers, please use the "standard" icon. If it contains spoilers about the most recent episode, please use the "Exclamation Point" icon. If it contains spoilers about the last 1 to 4 episodes, please use the "thumbs down" icon. If it contains general season two spoilers, please use the "thumbs up" icon. This will help ensure that everyone on our site is happy. Don't worry, when a thread becomes old, and an episode becomes less recent, a member of staff will change the icon for you. EDIT: Also, please do not put any spoilers in the thread name. Thanks.
Consequences:
The first three times that you disregard this rule, a member of staff will politely change it for you and give you caution. The 4th time that you don't follow this rule, you will be given a warning. If you continue to disregard it, you may be banned.
7) Please do NOT ask to become a moderator. A member of the staff will ask you should we have a position available and you have proven to be a loyal, helpful member who knows and follows the rules.
Consequences:
None. It just annoys us
8) Name change request can be sent to Zangoose. You may only change your name every two months.
Consequences:
Your name will not be changed.
9) No posting or asking for places to illegally download episodes, music, movies, software or any other copyrighted material.
Consequences:
We will contact the proper chain of command and law enforcers.
Thanks!
